He gets the glory: Rev. Jeff Arnold fell dead after preaching on Thursday, and he was... → hegetstheglory.tumblr.com

hegetstheglory:

Rev. Jeff Arnold fell dead after preaching on Thursday, and he was certified dead for 15 minutes. BUT God raised him from the dead 15 minutes later, and he got up with dancing and rejoicing — he is well and alive.

This should be the breaking news of the headlines today.

For all the skepticism this world offers, this should be breaking through the walls of skepticism and sending a loud signal into the heart of every man.. that there is a God, written as it is in that thick book we call the Bible; He can perform miracles signs and wonders, He is not out-of-power to do so; and surely.. He is coming back again soon.

And I want to see it. Not just hear about it. I want stories like this to break out across the front pages of the local papers. I want hearts of men to be convicted and awakened at the possibility of experiencing the one true God. I want this nation to be shaken under the power of God. // How much do we really believe about the supernatural?

“The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things. We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.” —Bob Moorehead (via nonelikejesus)

“A while back a former gang member came to our church. He was heavily tattooed and rough around the edges, but he was curious to see what church was like. He had a relationship with Jesus and seemed to get fairly involved with the church. After a few months, I found out the guy was no longer coming to the church. When asked why he didn’t come anymore, he gave the following explanation: “I had the wrong idea of what church was going to be like. When I joined the church, I thought it was going to be like joining a gang. You see, in the gangs we weren’t just nice to each other once a week—we were family.” That killed me because I knew that what he expected is what the church is intended to be. It saddened me to think that a gang could paint a better picture of commitment, loyalty, and family than the local church body. The church is intended to be a beautiful place of community. A place where wealth is shared and when one suffers, everyone suffers. A place where when one rejoices, everyone rejoices. A place where everyone experiences real love and acceptance in the midst of great honesty about our brokenness. Yet most of the time this is not even close to how we would describe our churches.” —Francis Chan (via nonelikejesus)

Chapter 1
I walk down the street. Deep hole in sidewalk. I fall in. I’m lost. I’m helpless. It isn’t my fault. Takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter 2
I walk down the same street. Deep hole in sidewalk. Pretend not to see. Fall in again. Not my fault. Still takes long time to get out.

Chapter 3
I walk down the same street. Deep hole in sidewalk. I see it, but still fall in. It’s a habit. It is my fault. I get out immediately.

Chapter 4
I walk down the same street. Deep hole in sidewalk. I walk around it.

Chapter 5
I walk down another street.

littlepinksheep:

Really blessed by Rev. TF Tenney’s preaching today. They’re really words of wisdom from someone who’s been through so much life experiences staying committed and loving God so wholeheartedly. Simply love the witty but meaningful wordplays.

The last point really stood out strong. We’re all gonna be judged by not what we’ve done but what God has called us to do. Everyone is an unique individual and we all have our specific calling and place in His Kingdom. It’s really important that we stop trying to be anyone else but ourselves. No matter which ministry or place you’re at, you’ve just simply got to find God’s calling for your life. If God has called you to be an accountant, so be it! Don’t end up being a preacher and lose the $10 million God has intended you to finance it for His Kingdom! It really reminded me that no place/position/role in God’s Kingdom is less important than the other. We are all equally important.

am really really really blessed.

apparently saturdays for me is like a pack room/house day; diy day of some sorts.

and it’s funny how I always wear the same few pairs of shoes, but every time I discard old unwearable shoes, somehow I will have like 5 or 6 pairs of them.

today I threw away 6 pairs! dropped it in the recycle bin =D

and took one yellow covered-toe shoes (that I haven’t wear for super long cause the colours are worn out) for upcycling! hahaha bling it gold again =DDD

cause the other gold glitter shoe got destroyed in the rain when I went Taiwan =(

mum just sew a top for grandma; gonna upcycle my jeans clothing ltr =D
thnnnn, i need to go fix a lamp

ahhhh and a ‘mountain’ of photos to sort!

I exercised today toooooo, and took a nap just now!
