lonely planet traveller

I would really want to go somewhere (not Singapore) on my own because it would be an incredible adventure! Even mentioned it to mum and I think dad too, and they didn’t say no… (not that they said yes either, but still…)

JAPAN or AUSTRALIA (cause there’s scoot)

And how wonderful when your boss says ok that I can take off to go overseas. Then I realised, maybe I can finally go on a mission trip as well! Will have the money now that I’m working - easier to get a go ahead from parents too.

I’m not as blur as I seem to be, I think I act blur more than I’m actually blur because sometimes you’re stuck in a awkward situation - the blur face is very helpful; so I should be street-smart enough to navigate in a foreign country on my own.

TRAVEL

This would be another little dream I would see come true~

On another note, God dropped me the coolest pleasant surprise yesterday - it’s really no big thing, but I was so delighted I was grinning ear to ear. Passer-bys could have found me strange cause I was just walking and smiling, coupled with random outbursts of “woah”. I felt so loved by God because He bothered with such a little detail!

makes you feel like a girl spinning in her skirt - happy!
(love surprises)

(so I really enjoy listening to music and I should get these fingers tapping and eventually running so I may create some music with my piano just sitting outside waiting…)

Premise

the children of Israel were more willing to die for their past than to die for their future

// anytime we step out for God, its going to feel like dying

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. (Luke 9:23 NIV)

Where God wants me to go is going to require the death of me

God’s call and the purpose of death

1. a calling out of “Egypt” // requires the death of Jesus Christ
2. a calling into the promise land // requires the death of me

side note: Moses was accused of being a mass murderer by the children of Israel! D:

I dreamt of a house of my own.

My living room shall be walled with human anatomy, ornamented with globes and dinosaur models, placed in a manner that they are eating up the earth.

My kitchen shall be a contrasting robotic theme, materialized by metallic shelves, ornamented with (my collection of) robots.

My study room shall be walled with world maps and ornamented with ship and plane models (I would permit Tin Tin models too).

The point is, I DREAMT. And my conclusion is: I think I should live in a museum.

(I can’t help it, I got to post this!)

I too dream of a house of my own.

In my house I would have a gold sequin wall

And if I have seriously gone mad, I might just glitter my floor gold too

then I would have this huge vintage mirror with lights placed in the living room

and have a vintage bicycle in my bathroom

and an insanely organised baking/cooking area in the kitchen

and possibly a ridiculously long table for my workspace

since I actually have photos of them, they might actually happen! Except my house may not necessary be big enough for that long table. hahahahahaha
I just thought it’s a great photo taken at a great angle. =D

I shall have my photo studio/office in my home! (Planning to transform my living room into my photo office, provided the rest of the family gives green light!)

I am claiming my ground back. I see what had been taken away and I will reclaim my territory. In seasons, do not let the enemy steal your dream! Do not let him steal your vision. Do not allow him to downsize your dream…

Cry in the desolate times, but dream still. Dream through your tears, dream in the desert, dream in the land of plenty. Dream when you can’t see, dream when He restores your sight. In every season, keep dreaming, cause God is more than able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think. Do not stop dreaming.

Do not let the devil change your speech. Prophesy in the dark place, prophesy when you feel cold, prophesy when you feel unwanted, prophesy when you feel unloved, prophesy when the situation seems contrary… Do not stop prophesying. When the devil changes your speech and downsize your thinking, he has stolen your prophesy.

Take heart. With every battle you push into, you are growing stronger. Keep your heart with all diligence, for from it springs forth issues of life. It is not so much about what you do or do not do. Right actions are important, but right heart behind right actions is even more so important.

Anything worth doing, is worth failing over; because it’s a worthy goal and a precious dream.

--Rev Jeff Arnold

Dreamers dream about things being different.
Visionaries envision themselves making a difference.
Dreamers think about how nice it would be for something to be done.
Visionaries look for an opportunity to do something.

Like Jack’s beanstalk, it is rooted on the solid ground of real-life experience, and reaches the heights of creative imagination. Fantastical, yet safe because it is rooted. Unrooted imaginations takes you high, but leave you suspending.

The Singapore spirit and dream are not characterised by those who earn the most or who are the most well-known; instead this nation has always been supported and crafted by the many ordinary citizens who toil faithfully and honestly to fulfill their responsibilities as Singaporeans, and to give their families the best they deserve. That is the true Singapore story.
