finish my ‘marathon’!

and the best highlight of today:
IS BUMPING INTO LILIN AT CITYHALLLLLLLL =DDDDD

i love bumping into ppl i am close to randomly outside!

we were both about activities that we love:
I’m at a photog assistant job learning/observing;
lilin’s the tour guide for foreign exchange students (am I right lilin???)

so I was in the photographer’s car going to ACM then I saw Lilin with her group on the street, immediately texted her, saw her look ard for the car that I was in, but the car windows were tinted so she wouldnt be able to see me, told the photographer tt’s my friend, then he was like ‘wind down the windows la’, then when I did, both me and Lilin kind of just screamed, ‘HI!!!’

then the photographer was like, ‘wa lao, like few years nvr see each other’

hahahaha! we kind of were texting each other the whole afternoon and I last saw her like Sunday only

and so we have all heard of the literal marathon like the running kind, then there was the movie marathon, of which I’m pretty familiar with too

but these few days, I’ve been involved in a photography marathon - major one! hahaha =O

and the exciting thing that I said previously was the start of this photog marathon.

1. Alumni Seminar in MJC

I was invited back to my junior college’s photog club as an alumni to share my experience! which is uber cool and at first nerve-wrecking (kind of) cause I’m super not the kind that talk in front of ppl, but the few times that I had to do it, I just tried la… haha

my senior who invited me back told me that I had 1hr allocated to share! I’m like ?!?!? 1 hour share what mannnn… the last time I actually conducted photog meeting whn I was still in MJC, I broke the record for the shortest meeting ever. lol

so I tried to come up with alot alot alot of photos and end up with like 70 - 80 powerpoint slides (of just photos!) =O then when i reach there, the other senior tt was speaking had 4 slides -.- sooooo actually i NO NEED SPEAK ONE HOUR ONE!!! like I kena prankeddd… hahahaha but ok, I love the ppt I did =D

and geeeeeeeee, going back to MJC made me feel so ‘ancient’ (kind of) - cause I’m like 4 years older than the J1s andddd the current batch of exco is so many batches after mineee! haha, and actually I was kind of nervous but whn I saw my juniors I felt better, cause they seemed more nervous meeting me (their senior) hahaha 

it was nice meeting my seniors again too! they are still the same pattern =)

2. Photography Duty

and then immediately after the talk was Spiritual Gifts teaching w Bro Stoneking of which I volunteered for duty! =)

thennnnn the next day Saturday was the dedication ceremony for our new HQ office =DDD we finally have our own place! awesomest!
Land is super expensive in Singapore cause we are so small; you can’t even see us on the world map - so being able to have our own property is really a God thing =D and Bro Stoneking was our speaker for this svc, of which I volunteered to take photos of again

THEN, sunday is an evangelical service - Come Encounter Jesus - which Bro Stoneking was the speaker for, every year =))) hahaha and I volunteered to be secondary photographer to help Abbey cause it was combined service so there were going to be alot of people!

and I totally pulled a prank on myself - ultimate joke
service venue this time was in the far west of Singapore and I lived in the far east, so like technically it was going take me very long to travel there and cause I was going to have photog duty, reporting time was 1015 - which means I had to wake up at 0730 =S

thennn rightttttt, when I reached, half way through while everyone was setting the place up (svc starts at 1300), I realized tt I actually didnt have to reach at 1015 cause I wasnt scheduled for duty, which means I could have woke up later… lol at myself! hahahaha, I was super amused abt it! and anw I woke up early! so I is a happy girls for it too =D  

3. Pre-wedding Photography Assistant

today is Monday, and it hasnt ended yet! My photog assisting job starts today! of which I was in a fantastic mood for, altho it was going to be tiring, but I really enjoyed it more this time =D

hahaha and it was fun too! I have a new appreciation for Tiong Bahru!!! There’s this part of Tiong Bahru that looks super retroooo! Old school coffee shops and provision shops. I love it so much =DDD The couple was looking for an apartment in that area - but it costs like 800k to 1mil (*drops jaws*) =S

hahaha and while the photographer was taking photos of the couple, I was secretly snapping photos with my phone camera too - cause the place is too pretty! I suggested that they could take photos with these few abandoned bicycles along the road and they did! (haha happy much)

we went Hort Park and Sentosa for the shoot too, HORT PARK IS PRETTY =OOO I never knewwwwwwwwwwwwwww… =OOO and it was even more awesome cause the weather is super fantastic - the sky is super blue and cloud formation is pretty max, considering Singapore’s weather/sky isn’t always so good.

(my vocab is failing me, sorry… hahaha)

hahaha I went to Universal Studio too (the outside) =P and after the entire pre-wedding photoshoot wrapped up, the couple treated us dinner at this chinese restaurant!!! YAYNESS TO FREE GOOD FOOD (I was super hungry and super thirsty!) =OOO

ok and finally tomorrow is the last day to this ‘marathon’! Another assisting job with the same photographer =D

hahahaha I am BACK from TAIWAN! =D

ate alot and drank alot of bubble tea
they have nice combinations of teas tt we don’t have in Singapore, but maybe our bubble tea world more happening? With the Koi/GongCha drink consumption, it’s almost subculture in Singapore. haha

it rained 6 days out of the 7 days I’m there - half the time i’m in my hooded windbreaker.

ok yay back to normal life in Singapore!

Going for a photo assistant job tmr! Earning money holding reflector + learning under pro. ahaha =D
