Thank God! He deserves your thanks. His love never quits.
Thank the God of all gods,
His love never quits.
Thank the Lord of all lords.
His love never quits.

Thank the miracle-working God,
His love never quits.
The God whose skill formed the cosmos,
His love never quits.
The God who laid out earth on ocean foundations,
His love never quits.
The God who filled the skies with light,
His love never quits.
The sun to watch over the day,
His love never quits.
Moon and stars as guardians of the night,
His love never quits.
The God who struck down the Egyptian firstborn,
His love never quits.
And rescued Israel from Egypt’s oppression,
His love never quits.
Took Israel in hand with his powerful hand,
His love never quits.
Split the Red Sea right in half,
His love never quits.
Led Israel right through the middle,
His love never quits.
Dumped Pharaoh and his army in the sea,
His love never quits.
The God who marched his people through the desert,
His love never quits.
Smashed huge kingdoms right and left,
His love never quits.
Struck down the famous kings,
His love never quits.
Struck Sihon the Amorite king,
His love never quits.
Struck Og the Bashanite king,
His love never quits.
Then distributed their land as booty,
His love never quits.
Handed the land over to Israel.
His love never quits.

God remembered us when we were down,
His love never quits.
Rescued us from the trampling boot,
His love never quits.
Takes care of everyone in time of need.
His love never quits.
Thank God, who did it all!
His love never quits!

--Psalm 136 (MSG)
‘His love never quits’

One of the most important insights to remember about perseverance is that the pressure to quit often happens just before a major breakthrough occurs.

--Matthew Barnett

this is my faith declaration.

Before Lily left for China, God challenged her in many ways with things that took her out of her comfort zone; stuff that she wasn’t particularly great at and haha, she leveled up in many wayss! =D

so, I just had a thought, ‘I wonder in what ways can I level up?’, and wah God has set a challenging 2 weeks before me (before Mannafest). AND THEY ARE NOT PARTICULARLY WHAT I AM GREAT AT…. IN FACT I HAVE CRASHED AND BURNED AND EMO-ED SO MANY TIMES BECAUSE OF IT!

aye, and it’s school, I get stressed out alot because of it, and crashed many times mentally, spiritually and emotionally… But I can say, almost semester by semester; I get a little better, a little better.

In fact, as of now I can say I have ‘level up’ a little already! I just completed a very abstract and =O essay on friday and for the first time I REALLY REALLY sat down FOCUSED on my essay and tried to understand the topics, it was marathon for my brain =X But I am happy with my essay! Whether my lecturer thinks it’s a masterpiece, that I can’t say, hahaha but I can say I really did my best =)

Going home Thursday night from school, when I closed my eyes and tried to sleep on the train, I could feel a tremendous presence of God, pouring virtue back into me. It was very reassuring and it felt really good after putting so much effort into my school work.

And God, you really have faith for me while I’m feeling rather scared for the 2 weeks to come, so I’m gonna really rely on Your faith and definitely on Your strength to accomplish something I HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE SERIOUSLY. That is to finish my 4 insane essays WAY BEFORE DEADLINE so I can go for Mannafest the entire week!

ok 4 essays doesn’t sound like alot maybe, but THEY ARE ALOT FOR ME and they all happen to be in the thousands words range; with alot of parts making it very tedious to write… =S

so i quote:

“A mind once stretched by a new idea never regains its original dimension.”

Oliver Wendell Holmes

And I quote some more:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me”

Philippians 4:13

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Matthew 6:33-34

I believe, this coming 2 weeks gonna do more for me than just perhaps good grades; more discipline and being able to attend Mannafest. There is potential for more, at least I think so/feel so. I shall thus push myself, yes and see how much level up I can go! (hahaha I might even rise to imbal ranks among my classmates, alright that I look forward too =PPP)

P.S. I think I’ve blabber this to several people, so yes bear with my little tumblr post just so I can rant out my thoughts! And having written this I am feeling so much better now, I kind of emo-ed my way home just now =S

ALRIGHT I AM READY TO WAR TEXTBOOKSSSSSS
so going to absorb all of you into my brains and churn out masterpieces within the tight timeframe! YES! chionggg arrrrrrr…

(to fellow classmates - WE CAN DO IT)

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

--2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

--Isaiah 40:31

Note to self:

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:1-2

And it started as a sms I thought could encourage someone for the week but I think God meant it very much for me as well and it’s too much of a coincedence for the number of times this scripture has popped out to me in different settings.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:10

Thank you God.

Note to self:

“And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?”
Luke 12:25-26

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 6:34

“And of Asher he said: ‘Asher is the most blessed of sons; let him be favoured by his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil. Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; as your days, so shall your strength be.”
Deuteronomy 34:24-25

3 times I had this note to self post of scriptures and today I realise, they are really God-given scriptures for that particular day, especially today! It is really the Bible coming alive for me and God leading me to these particular scriptures and bringing them to remembrance.

And only from these scriptures then I realised I had been worrying too much and when I prayed for strength for today (I was physically very tired), God brought the verse in Deuteronomy to my mind! (then I cried…)

He taught me today how I could rely on Him on a DAILY basis. (AWESOME X5) =)

Note to self:

“Concerning this thing I pleaded with Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:8-10

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:15-16

The strength of the church is not in its sitting capacity but its sending capacity.

Continuous effort not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.
